PROTECTION OF WOMEN
SOCIETY’S ACTIVITIES FOR THE MONTH
The executive committee of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children met on Monday. The Rev. P. S. Smallfield presided. The secretary reported that 33 new cases had been dealt with during the month. Of this number 22 concerned husbands and wives, four dealt with children, four with various questions and five concerned maintenance. There had been 252 office interviews, and 20
cases had been sent to the solicitors. Tho inspector had paid 44 visits and spent four mornings in the Magistrate’s Court.
