“MY WIFE CAN EXPLAIN ” SAYS CAUTIOUS WITNESS
A WITNESS whose oft-re-peated answer was “My wife can explain it better than I can,” became somewhat monotonous in the Supreme Court today.
“Do you know what caused your counsel to change his mind?” demanded Mr. Gloister.
“My wife can explain that better than I can,” replied witness, innocent of the smile he provoked even from the Bench. “Did you discuss it with your wife or was it a Dr. Johnson discussion ?” Witness looked blank. Later he admit ted amid laugh ter: “My wife . is always in the conversation.”
