CANADA’S TOURIST WIN
REVENUE UP £7,000,000 FOR THE YEAR MANY MOTORISTS FROM U.S. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Reed. 10.45 a.m. OTTAWA, Tuesday. Tourist traffic brought £50,100,200 into Canada in 1928, according to the estimate of the Dominion Bureau of Statistics, an advance of nearly £7,000,000 over the preceding year. The increase is largely dee to the heavier influx of United States motorists. Expenditures by Canadian tourists in other countries have slightly decreased, the 1928 figure being £20,649,000, against £20,756,400 in the preceding year.
