Pat Hanna, Ina Crossley and Stan Lawson are responsible for most of the comedy work, and among their brighte-st efforts are “Changed Glasses,” “Gipsy Love,” and an tremelv fanciful but none the less hilarious playette of post-war days, ‘Joe’s Girl.” The arrangement of the sketches leaves nothing to be desired, and the comedy is cleverly interwoven with vocal numbers, while an attractive ballet trips on and off in a bewildering number of attractive costumes and pleasing numbers. Ernest Kopke and Adele Taylor arc tbe leading vocalists, and the “Diggers’ ” orchestra ably supports its fellow artists. Graham Cutts has completed his latest production. “The Return of the Rat.” co-starring Ivor Xovello. Mabel Poulton and Isabel Jeans. “The Return of the Rat” is an elaborately staged production of society and underworld life of London and Paris. Many of the French scenes were actually filmed in Paris and the Montmarte. Sound effects and synchronised music have been added. __
