COURSING AT FRANKTON
(from Our Own Correspondent) FRANKTON, Monday. The Frankton Enclosure Coursing Club opened its season at its headquarters at Whatawhata on Saturday afternoon, when a Marden Stake and an Open Stake were decided. The hares were in excellent trim, the quality of the coursing was good, and the two stakes attracted good support from dog-owners. Messrs. McWilliams's and Atkins’s (Frankton) I’m Alone was successful in the final of the Marden Stake, and Messrs. Gibbons’s and Hepburn’s (Te Aroha) Skipper pulled off the final in the Open Stake.
