HONEST BANKRUPT
LOSSES ON PROPERTY The official assignee is to handle the affairs of David L. Jackson, a builder, of Mount Eden, who met his creditors yesterday. Jackson gave as the reason for his losses unprofitable exchanges on city house properties. The representative of one of the largest creditors said that Jackson had been straightforward in his dealings. The bankrupt owed £623 Ss lid to unsecured creditors, and £2,817 19s 7d in secured debts. There was an estimated total deficiency of £1,841 Ss 6d. In the past six months the bankrupt paid back £6OO to his creditors. The deputy official assignee, Mr. V. R. Crowhurst is to obtain more books dealing with the bankruptcy.
