CROQUET AT DEVONPORT CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING That the past year had been a successful one, both socially and financially, was stated in the secretary’s and treasurer’s reports, presented at the annual meeting of the Devonport Bowling Green Croquet Club this week. There was a large attendance of members. The prize-winners during the season were: A championship singles, Mrs. A. White; runner-up, Mrs. Watson; B championship singles, Mrs. i\ W. Beck; runner-up, Mrs. A. Bartley; handicap singles, Mrs. Watson; handicap doubles, Mesdames Beaumont and Bartley; runners-up, Mesdames Beck and Mew beg in; A championship' doubles, Mesdames Bruce and Watson; runners-up, Mesdames Mason and Harty. A prize was presented by Mrs. J. V, . Lowe to Mrs. Griffiths for improved play. Officers were elected as follow; President, Mrs. G, 11. Lacy; secretary, Mrs. W. Mewbegln; treasurer, Mrs. A. Bartley-; general committee, Mesdames Marty, Cotes, Bruce, Watson, and Beck; match committee, Mesdames Mason and Griffith; delegate to the Croquet Association, Mrs. A. White.
