AMUSING PROGRAMME Streamers of joyous colouring twined across the ceiling and flaunted their bright shades around the walls of the Amateur Operatic Society’s Hall in (• afton Road last evening, when the members of the society held their first social and dance of the season. Between the dances, for which excellent music was supplied by Miss Jean Macindoe and her orchestra, an entertaining programme was presented. An original and witty sketch, called “Rejuvenated/’ written by Miss Oona Burton, was played by Mrs. Xello Porter, Airs. Boswell, Mrs. Richmond, Miss Joyce Porter, and Mrs. George Moody. Another sketch was given by i Miss A. Perry and Miss W. Crosher, : and songs were contributed by Miss Thelma St. Clair Whyte, Miss J. Mars- ! den, and Miss Marjorie Faire. Miss Daphne Ranger, wearing a pretty frock of lotus rose toning with a frilled uneven skirt. Miss Jean Macindoe, whose frock of Paris lace was brightened with rhinestones. Miss Joan Heather, wearing a black draped frock of ring velvet. Miss I. Abdullah, who had her ivory mariette frock beaded in black and gold. Miss Molly Overton, whose georgette frock was of sea foam green shade. Miss Mary Cofield, in a frock of silver lace on a rose pink foundation. Miss Irene Tanner, whose black taffeta frock was given chic by a deep petailed hem of ochre lace. Miss Jean Carson, who wore a spray of cyclamen flowers on the shoulder of her black lace frock. Miss Edna Cammed, in a bouffant frock of absinthe green taffeta. PRIMROSE FROCK Miss Jean Leighton, wearing an embossed frock of primrose georgette. Miss I). Duncan, whose chose a dainty frock of black chiffon. Miss Thelma St. Clair Whyte, whose meehlin lace frock was mounted on pastel Miss Rose Kennedy, who wore a draped fi'ock of gentian blue georgette with a dipping mitred hem. Miss Kitty Williamson, wearing a frock of black georgette relieved with gold embroideries. Miss White, in a crystal beaded frock of ivory chiffon. Miss M. Ormiston, whose pompadour pink frock was of lace' and tulle. Miss Ethel Rae. wearing a steel-em-broidered frock of black georgette. Miss Joyce Porter, who chose an embossed frock of blush rose chenille. SILVER AND MOONMI ST BLUE Miss AT. Craig, in a pretty frock made with a bodice of silver tissue and a moonmist blue georgette skirt. Miss R. Shatz, wearing a frock of chartreuse green georgette and silver brocade. Miss Audrey Perry, whose black georgette frock was embroidered with sequins. Miss Winifred Crosher, who wore a smart frock of opal shaded taffeta. Miss A. Knight,- who had a rose coloured posy of flowers-on the shoulder of her powder blue georgette frock. Miss Nell Batey, whose nasturtium shaded georgette frock was embroidered with crystal beads.
