The report stressed the fact that the programme submitted, excepting the Waikato matches, allowed for three months’ uninterrupted club foot ball. The matches to be arranged, if possible, included a game at Wanganui against Wanganui and Northern VVairoa at Dargaville. College Day and the second Grammar v. King’s match had also to be arranged, but no information was at hand, and the dates could not be fixed. August 24 was to be kept open in the meantime, as it was to be hoped that a match to be played against Wairarapa at Auckland could be arranged for that date. The committee suggested that a team could be assembled to play Northern Wairoa at Dargaville on September 28. The trip was a short one and popular with players. It was to be hoped that a visit could be made to Wanganui. It was, however, impossible to include the game in the Taranaki trip. PIAKO SIDES CHOSEN (From Our Own Correspondent J TE AROHA, Wednesday.
