Auckland Club Revises Its Card
JUNE CARNIVAL The committee of the Auckland Trotting Club has revised the order of events for the forthcoming winter fixture. which will be staged at Alexandra Park on June 22 and 24.
V\ T ITH eight races on the programme * * this year, instead of seven as previously carded for the winter meeting, many horses visiting the fixture will prefer to compete in two events each dav, and in order to give owners an opportunity of doing so the committee has shuffled the cards in a suitable manner toward this end. This action will be greatly appreciated by owners and trainers, and will also tend to increase the size of the fields.
To get through the big schedule in comfortable time an early start will be made each day with the opening event.
T HENDERSON, of Oamaru, * should do well with his latest addition. Morning Sun. This pacer is by Sungod—Jenny Bell, by Bellman —Weary, by Brookholm —Lady Thorpe, by Young Irvington. Morning Sun raced well but unluckily at Forbury Park, his good showing leading to his being purchased by a patron of J. Henderson's stable.
