ONLY SLIGHTLY HURT
FLYING-OFFICER OWEN REPORTS MESSAGE TO FATHER (Australian aod N.Z. Press Association j Reed. 11 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Mr. Edward Owen, father of FlyingOfficer Harold Owen, has received a message from Darwin that his sou was only slightly injured in the Cape Don crash. The Ks ogle arrived at Darwin early yesterday morning. A telegram from that town says the two airmen were given a civic reception. This evening they were tendered another reception by the Victoria League. The message says the aviators look fairly well but are reticent. They say their biplane struck Cape Don at a speed of 45 miles an hour. A further message from Moir says: -—“We are grateful for the assistance rendered to us; also for the shoals of telegrams we have received from well-wishers.” Moir and Owen are to leave Darwin for Brisbane today in Captain Lester Brain's airplane Atlanta.
