ONE BIG UNION SOUGHT
MARITIME WORKERS GET TOGETHER PROPOSAL ENDORSED Reed. 11 a.m. MELBOURNE, Today. The Seamen’s Union lias concluded a conference with the representatives of the other maritime organisations for the formation of one big union of maritime workers. The proposal was unanimously endorsed at the conference, and a ballot is to be taken among the rank and file of the various waterside unions upon the same subject.
