Middleton, D. 5.0., R.X.V.R., Director of Naval Reserves, arrived from Wellington yesterday. Mr. H. Robinson, of General Motors, Wellington, left for the South last evening by the Limited. Mr. G. Stewart, in charge of the Xew Zealand Railway Publicity Office, Wellington, arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning. Mr. L. O. Morgan, first assistanf master at To Awamutu District High School, has been appointed headmaster at Motukora, Poverty Bay. Mr. William Gemmell, the wellknown baritone soloist and choirmaster at the ISeresford Street Congregational Church, has been engaged by the Christchurch Musical Society to sing the title role in its production of Klgar’s “Caracta cus.” He will leave on Friday for the performance, which takes place on June 5.
