RECTOR RESIGNS
WILL COMPILE SCHOOL REGISTER Press Association INVERCARGILL, Monday. Mr. T. D. Pearce has tendered his resignation as rector of the Southland Boys’ High School, a position he has held for the last 25 years. It is understood it is the intention of Mr. Pearce to devote hjs time to the compilation of a school register. The board has accepted the resignation with regret, to take effect immediately. Mr. Pearce lias been granted leave on full pay. Mr. T. R. Cresswell, formerly principal of Wellington College, has been appointed acting-rector of the school.
