CHARITY DANCE OVER THE HARBOUR

WAITEMATA WOMEN'S PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE SUCCESSFUL EFFORTS Despite the wintry conditions, the charity dance organised by the Waitemata Women’s Progressive League attracted a large patronage last evening. The dance was heTl at Daly’s Hall, Takapuna, and in thanking those present for their support. Mr. A. Harris. M.P., said that the ‘NV.W.P.L. had done and was doing good social work. List year £ls had been raised for the Plunket Society, £5 as a nucleus for a dental clinic for Takapuna, and a fund started to provide children witn defective eyesight with proper glasses. Alessrs. Reid and Morgan gave two vocal and instrumental duets, and an exhibition of the “Varsity Drag” was given by Aliss Kathleen Reid Dance music was provided by Aliss Daly’s Orchestra.
