GRAND AND LYRIC
“Street Angel,” the big attraction at the Grand and Lyric Theatres, is a. film which has captured the hearts of audiences throughout the world. The picture commended screening at the Prince Edwa.rd Theatre in Sydney a short time after Christmas, and is still being presented to record attendances at four sessions a day in a theatre of huge capacity. It was directed by Frank Borzage, who was responsible for that memorable picture. “Seventh Heaven.” Janet Gavnor appears as a little waif of the waterfront, and Charles Farrell as a vagabond artist who meets and falls in love with her. Their happiness is overshadowed by an incid?~.t of the girl’s past, but eventually this is restored to both. The remarkable photography is a feature of the production. On the same programme there is “Trent’s Last Case,” a thrilling murde.r story portrayed by a large cast of screen favourites.
