WAIRARAPA EXHIBITION
SUCCESSFUL OPENING RELAY AND BROADCAST Press Association MASTERTOX, Monday. The opening: of the YVairarapa Industrial and Art Exhibition tonight was most successful, there being a large attendance of the public, representatives of local bodies and members for the district. The opening ceremony was performed by Mr. T. Jordan, Mayor of Masterton, in the absence of the Hon. J. G. Cobbe. Minister of Industries and Commerce. After short speeches, a concert programme was given. The whole of the proceedings was broadcast from station 2TA. a relay line connecting the Exhibition Hall and the studio. The main streets of the town were decorated brightly with coloured lights. The exhibition promised to be a great success.
