RUNAWAY CAR
CAREER ON A SIDING SHUNTING INCIDENT AT PAPAKURA PAPAKURA, Today. Running down a sloping siding at P nakura this morning, an uncontrolled faiHvay car smashed through a StopSock and came . rest on a bank At 6 a.m. an engine and tlie passe a "eV car arrived from Auckland to take the 6 7 a.m. suburban train to tne city. During shunting operations, the cat detached itself from the engine, started on its own accord from opposite die station offices, and ran down a decline | «^idin t ' uhder the road budge. ° n At fit north end of the station it crashed into the stop-block, demolished it ,7,(1 -event over the bank. The main line is clear, and traffic is j uninterrupted.
