WRESTLER’S FATAL FALL
DEATH FOLLOWS FRIENDLY BOUT ACCIDENT AT TE KUITI (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Today. Suffering from abdominal injuries believed to have been received in a friendly wrestling match near Te Kuiti on May 19, Frederick Albert McKenzie, 33, single, a linesman, died in the Waikato Hospital yesterday morning. During the match a Maori named Hemara fell on McKenzie after the latter was thrown. McKenzie died from peritonitis following a rupture of a gastric ulcer. At the inquest hi ter, before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., evidence of identification was given, and the medical testimony taken, after which the inquest was adjourned.
