REVIVAL NEXT WEEK MANY SHIPS DUE Bustle and activity of commerce will be seen on the Auckland waterfront next week. Whereas the port has been unusually quiet for some time past, the coming week is to see the arrival of five vessels from overseas direct, five overseas boats, via Southern ports, and five large coastal ships will be in port. Two overseas boats that arrived direct this week will still be discharging here during the earlier part of next week. THE Baron Line steamer Baron ~ Mac lay is due from Galveston (Texas) on Tuesday with sulphur. The Oceanic and Oriental steamer Golden State should make port on Monday with several cargos from Pacific Coast ports. On the same day the Lawbeath is arriving from Cuba with a full cargo of sugar, and also the Sussex. which had a fire in one of her holds while bound from Calcutta and the Straits Settlements. From Port Arthur (Texas) with case oil, the Norwegian vessel Vesvard is due in port on Tuesday. Overseas vessels arriving via Southern ports are the Remuera from London on Wednesday,\ the Ruapehu from London on Thursday, and the Wirral from New York on Monday. The Golden Cross and the Huntingdon, which discharged at this port and proceeded South to complete and start loading, are due on Monday and Tuesday respectively to finish loading before sailing for overseas.

Coastal vessels that will be at local wharves are the Waipiata, the Kaimanawa, the Kaituna, which collided with the Norwegian Selje outside Melbourne recently, the Katoa and the Waimea.

The Port Auckland from New York and the Kent from Liverpool, which arrived here this week, will be continuing discharging operations.
