MISSED A CHANCE

THIEF OVERLOOKS BIG CHEQUE T UCK favoured an Auckland business man last evening, and a thief does not realise what he missed. Although Mr. Businessman lost some personal effects, the thief who took them overlooked a cheque for £95. Last evening the man in question parked his car in Shortland Street. In it was a suitcase containing personal effects, some clothing and the valuable cheque. A sneak-thief must have got into the car and ransacked the suitcase. Everythin was missing from it when the man returned, but to his surprise the cheque had been overlooked. Had it been taken the thief could have presented it at any bank or business house as it had not been crossed
