TOFUA LEAVES SUVA—Cable advice has been received that the Island passenger steamer Tofua, en route from Auckland, left Suva at 4 p.m. yesterday for Tonga and Samoa. MAILS ARRIVING. —Advice Horn tlie acting-chief postmaster states that the intercolonial steamer Ulimaroa, which cleared Sydney yesterday and is due at Wellington on Tuesday next. May 28, brings 101 bags of Eastern and Australian mail for Auckland. The letter portion thereof should reach here by the Main Trunk express on Wednesday -morning next. SUSSEX REPORTS AGAIN —A further radio message received by the local office of the Union Company states that the chartered steamer Sussex is now due in the stream at Auckland at two o’clock on Monday afternoon from Calcutta via ports. She will later berth at the King's Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete. GOLDEN STATE FROM PACIFIC COAST —Although no radio has been received from the O. and O. Line’s steamer Golden State, the vessel is expected to arrive at Auckland on Monday from the Pacific Coast. She has been allotted berth at the Prince’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo under the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane. From this port the vessel proceeds to Wellington, Timaru and Dunedin to complete discharge. THE DAMAGED EUROPA. —It has been announced that, in consequence of the great fire on board the North German Lloyd liner Europa, the vessel will not be ready for her trials till February or March next. A survey has shown that for two-thirds of the ship’s length it will be necessary to renew completely the three decks, and the super-structures for passenger accommodation. The outer hull, however, has not been damaged at any point. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICES —The Union Company advises the following movements of vessels engaged in the trans-Pacific cargo services:— The Waitemata will clear Ocean Falls, 8.C., today for San Francisco, and go thence to Los Angeles, to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Waihemo, from Apia, is due at Vancouver today, and will proceed thence to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Bluff. The Hauraki was to leave Melbourne yesterday for Adelaide, and go thence on Wednesday, May 29, to Vancouver direct. The Waiotapu will leave Sydney on May 30 for Vancouver, via Fanning Island. The Wairuna left Napier yesterday for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth, and proceeds thence to Auckland and Vancouver. The Waikawa, en route from Pacific Coast, will clear Apia today, and is due at Melbourne on June 7. and will go thence to Sydney. She will proceed thence to Vancouver, via Suva. Forward loadings at Pacific Coast ports are approximately as follow: The Waitemata will load for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney during May and early June. She will clear Los Angeles on June 4, and is due at Auckland on June 29. The Waihemo will load during the end of May and the first half of June for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. She is to clear Los Angeles on June 15, and is due at Napier on July 10. The Hauraki will load during the second half of June and first half of July for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. She is to clear Los Angeles on July 15, and is due at Auckland on August 5.

PORT CAMPBELL FOR HOME—The C. and D. Line advises that the steam export Campbell is to leave Wellington this afternoon for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain and Montevideo. SOUTHERN CROSS TO SAIL —Messrs. Watkins and Wallis advise that the Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross is scheduled to clear this port for the Solomon Islands on Thursday next, May 30. DEVON COMPLETING —Now complet- [ ing her loading at Wellington, the FedI eral steamer Devon is to clear there on Tuesday next, May 28, for London, Avonmouth, Liverpol and Glasgow, via Montevideo. CANADIAN WINNER AT NEW YORK —The Canadian National steamer Canadian Winner, which left Auckland for New York, Boston and Montreal on April 16, is reported to have reached New York last Wednesday. MAUI POMARE FOR NORFOLK Now undergoing repairs at Auckland, the Government mofor-ship Maui Pomare is scheduled to leave here on June 14 for Norfolk Island. She is berthed at the King's Wharf, and Spedding, Ltd., are the local agents. KAPONGA FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA From Adelaide, Edithburg, Melbourne i and Wellington, the Union Company’s steamer Kaponga is due at Auckland ] next Thursday. After discharge here, she proceeds to Portland to load cement for Wellington and Lyttelton. GOLDEN CROSS DUE TOMORROW— Leaving Wellington at mid-day yesterday for Auckland, the O. and O. Line’s steamer Golden Cross is due here at 6 p.m. tomorrow. She berths the Prince’s Wharf to complete her loading under the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane. At 3 p.m. on Monday it is hoped to dispatch the vessel from here for l-lonolulu and San Francisco. LAWBEATH RADlOS—According to a radio message received by Spedding, Ltd., the steamer Lawbeath is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at six o’clock on Monday morning from Cuba. After pratique has been granted the vessel will berth at Chelsea to discharge her cargo of raw sugar. VESTVARD DUE The Norwegian motor-ship Vestvard is scheduled to reacch Auckland early next week from Port Arthur, Texas, but no wireless advice had ben received from the vessel yesterday. She has a full cargo of case oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Newcastle, Melbourne and Fremantle. Mesrs. R. Millar and Company are the local agents. HUNTINGDON TO COMPLETE—Advice received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the Federal steamer Hunting-don is to leave Gisborne on Monday evening for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday evening. She will berth at the Central Wharf on Wednesday morning to complete her loading lor London, Avonmouth, Livex-pooi and Glasgow. REM U ERA FROM HOME—The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the liner Kemuera leaves Napier on Monday for Auckland, where she is due on Wednesday morning to complete her discharge of London cargo and to commence her loading for her return voyage. She has b£en allotted a berth at the Central Wharf. WIRRAL DUE TO MO R ROW—Advice has been received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company that the A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer Wirral left Wellington at 4 p.m. yesterday for Auckland. She is due - here tomorrow and will berth at the Queen’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her New York cargo. Later she goes to Australia and Islands to complete discharge. THE CANADIAN BRITISHER.—The Canadian Britisher arrived at Dunedin on Thursday afternoon from Lyttelton. She will leave Dunedin this afternoon for Timaru, and is to clear the latter port on Monday evening for Wellington. The vessel is due there on Wednesday to load for New York, Boston, and Montreal. From Wellington the Canadian Britisher is to sail next Thursday for Auckland, and will leave this port finally on June 4.
