HEARD IN DUNEDIN

ENGLISH NIGHTINGALES BROADCAST (Special to THE SUN} DUNEDIN, Today. English nightingales have been heard In Dunedin. In a special morning programme the Radio Service, Ltd., rebroadcast the songs from the English station GSSW. The notes of the birds were heard with unusual distinctness. The London radio station 2LO had placed a microphone in a Surrey wood and, for half an hour or more, Otago listeners could hear the birds plainly. Volume and clarity were excellent, and three or four birds were singing together several times.
