MEETING AT TE AROHA THAMES, Today. The Thames Valley Coursing Club held its first meeting of the season on Wednesday. Some exciting courses were run in deciding the winner of the maiden stake. Mr. P. Firkins’s War Lord beat C Martelli’s Dickens Hope. 5—2. Second round: Nurmi beat Blue Heaven, 4—3; Cinder Williams beat Timtatis, 12—5; Rapine beat Diggers’ Chorus, 6—l; War Lord a bye. Third round: Nurmi Cinder Williams, 6—2; Rapine beat War Lord. 8- 4. Final: Nurmi beat Rapine. 5—4.
