The air is still full of short-wave radio Morse code messages from Mexico City and other Mexican sations, in connection with the revolution in that country, which appears to be lasting longer than is usual. The information given now suggests that the revolution is drawing to a close, and that there is a general exodus of rebels over the border into the United States from the northern part of the Mexican State of Sonora, where they have been driven by the Government troops. A list was given of the rebel officers who had fled over the border. A radio innovation, which has not reached New Zealand yet, is the providing of special rooms in public libraries with wireless receiving sets, by means of which for an hour or more each day high-class orchestral or other form of music is given, and the public is cordially invited to listen. This reception and free distribution of programmes of high musical value, associated with books on music, including the particular pieces that may be scheduled each day, will eventually take its part in the musical education of the communities of the world.
