KING’S “AUTOBIOGRAPHY”
COURT VETOES PUBLICATION IN BRITAIN MILD SENSATION CAUSED (Australian and H.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Thursday. A mild sensation has been caused by the abandonment of publication of an anonymous “autobiography” of the King, in consequence of the Court’s objection that the details are too intimate. It is understood that the matter had not reached a further stage than the submission of a synopsis to a reputable firm of publishers by an established agent, whereupon the Court’s veto was made known. There had been overtures to sell the rights to the Dominions.
