BALLOT FOR FARMS
WESTELLA ESTATE TWELVE SECTIONS DRAWN Press Association FEILDING, Today. A ballot for 12 sections of the Wes-ti-ella Estate, purchased by the Government for subdivision for closer settlement, was taken last night. Of the 169 applicants examined, 96 were approved. The following were successful: Section 1, Mr. A. Waugh, Martinborough; 2, Mrs. E. Cochrane, Whakorongo; 3, Mr. Jack "WAllace, Hastings, 4, Mr. Wilfrid Ansin, Palmerston North; 5, Mr. C. G. Kendrick, Pahiatua; 6, Mr. Robert Grant, Dannevirks; 7, Mr. J. E. Lind, Napier; 8, Mr. Duncan Whisker, Thames; 9, Mr. H. Murchin, Taihape; 10. Mr. R. T. Griffin, Featherston; 11, Mr. A. E. Wilkins, Woodville; 12, Mr. R. J. Stewart, Feilding. The Crown Lands Commissioner states that nine farms ranging from 63 to 68 acres, part of the Werarpa Experimental Farm, will he offered about the middle of July.
