LATE SIR JAMES WILSON

FARMERS’ UNION’S TRIBUTE Press Association WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The death of the late president and patron of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, Sir James Wilson, was referred to at the commencement of the quarterly meeting of the Dominion executive. The president, Mr. W. J. Poison. M.P., in proposing a vote of condolence with the relatives of Sir James, said he had borne the heat and burden of the day; and had assisted tremendously in the establishment of the present farmers’ organisation. He was a splendid pioneer, and a man of whom the union might be thoroughly proud. The motion was passed in silence, members standing.
