jl Hogg has been re-elected chairman of the Bay of Plenty Power Board- ______ Mr. A. O. Lunn was a passenger for Wellington last evening on the Limited. Mr G. C. Munns, M.P.. returned from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Mr G. W. Bews returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. The Rev. W. Webster arrived from the South this morning by the Limited. Mr C. M. Croft, Canadian Trade i-ommiwioner, left for Wellington last evening by the Limited. The Rev. C. F. Hinton, who has been chairman of the Central Power Board (Hamilton), since its inception nine \ ;irs ago. was re-elected to the position today. Mr. Alexander Livingstone was elected deputy-chairman. Mr. A. M. O. Farquhar will retire ;,t the end of the month from the position of attorney in Fiji for the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, Ltd. He will be succeeded by Mr. F. C. T. Lord, at present manager of the Rewa mill aod estates. The Hon. J. B. Donald. PostmasterGeneral, paid a visit yesterday, by request, to the St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged Poor Ponsonby. He was conducted through the institution by the chaplain, the Rev. Father Mansfield. Mr. Donald made a thorough inspection of the institution, and at the conclusion of his visit complimented the chaplain and the mother in charge on the devoted work being done for old people of all denominations by the Little Sisters of the Poor.
