AUCKLAND UNION MEETS BAND FOR EDEN PARK The New Zealand Engineers’ Band will play every Saturday this season at Eden Park, according to a decision made by the Rugby Union Management Comjnittee last evening. Every third Saturday the band will play in front of the terraces instead of in the customary position outsido the enclosure. The New Zealand Union confirmed the following reinstatements: —E. S, Cob man, T. Hill. J. Hapi, FT. Ha pi, C. 11. Landen, A. A. Pul man. H. G. Robertson, R. Philp. M. C. Wheeler. A- C. Aspden, J. W. Davis and C. Holland* J. C. Taylor and C. D. J. Palmer, both, third grade players, appeared before the committee in support of their applications for reinstatement, and it was agreed to favourably recommend them to the New Zealand Union. The Otahuhu Trotting Club wrote .agreeing to the union having use of the same number of grounds as last season. The Match Committee was empower ed to make any changes in the senior draw that might prove necessary. The same committee was left to deal w..tn a letter from the Manukau Club requesting that its teams be not asked to play in early matches as the aimcufty of arriving in town punctually after working in Onehunga until one o’clock was insuperable for so mo players. w ATr.
