FIRE IN CHURCH
CARETAKER’S TIMELY DISCOVERY INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED Press Association CAMBRIDGE, Today. An attempt was made yesterday afternoon to set fire to the Presbyterian Church here. The caretaker, Mr. W. ildermoth, went to the church about 3 p.m. and found smoke issuing from a side window. Bursting the side door, which had been barricaded, he found a pile of rubbish and paper on fire near the organ, a large hole being burned in the floor. Had the caretaker not seen thq smoke it is certain the church would have been destroyed. There is evi. dence that the attempt to burn thd church was a deliberate one.
