SHEEP-FARMER’S LOSS
NINETY STUD RAMS DEAD Press Association WAIPUKURAU, Monday. A serious loss has been received by Mr. George E. Merriken, sheepfarmer, at Hatuma, near "Waipukurau. After treating over 90 stud Southdown rams with medicine Mr. Merriken turned the rams into a paddock of green oats. The feed almost immediately set up scour in the flock, with the result that 90 rams died. Apart from the loss of the stud at this season of the year, the owner estimates the financial loss at over £9OO.
