As a result of heavy rain experienced over the East Coast during the last few days, service cars have had considerable difficulty in endeavouring ta maintain time-tables. Swollen Streams have had the effect of delaying the service cars running between Gis“°rn and Opotiki. Most of the trouble has occurred at the Otoko Stream. has been in flood. The weather 14 very warm and humief and should •fsult in a continued growth of grass. The autumn shows every sign of being an exceptionallv prood one for dairy farmers in the Opotiki district, as there ,s an abundance of feed for dairy and °ther stock.
