ELECTION OF VESTRY The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of parishioners of St. John’s Church, Te Awamutu, the vicar, the Rev. R. Hailey Trill, presiding:—Vicar’s warden, Mr. H. A. Swarbrick: people’s warden, Mr. 11. Holt; treasurer. Mr. J. G. Wynyard; auditor, Mr. G. O. Jourdajn: vestrymen, Messrs. C. G. Downes, A. J. Shepherd, J. Bent. A. E. Richardson, W. Mensforth, H. J. Collins, A. C. Cruicksank, A. Todd and R. Aldridge: Messrs. H. A. Swarbrick and J. G. Wynyard were elected synodsmen. Lay representatives from the parish on the Hamilton Rural Deanery Board will be Messrs. H. Holt. B. F. Morris and If. A. Swarbrick. The secretary, Mr. .T. G. Wynyard, read the annual report and balance sheet, which were adopted. A deficit of £92 ."s was show n on the year’s work. Th Ladies’ Guild report showed that s the result of their efforts they had handed over the sum of £206. Th® Sunday School report showed that steady progress had been made during the year. The average attendance of scholars was 65, and three new i teachers joined.
