SYRIAN SHOT DEAD

TRAGEDY IN A SYDNEY GARAGE A DISPUTE ABOUT MONEY SYDNEY, Wednesday. A tragedy occurred at Darlinghurst, Sydney, in a garage belonging to two brothers, William and Joseph Simons. William heard two shots when he was working in the office. He rushed into the workshop and found his brother Joseph dying with a bulletwound in one temple. Philip Malouf, employed by th Simons brothers, was sitting in the workshop in a dazed condition with an automatic revolver in one hand according to William Simons, who told the police he then knocked Malouf unconscious with a block of wood. The parties concerned are members of wealthy Syrian families. William Simons said there had been some depute about money which was missing from the till. He was subsequently charged with maliciously harming Malouf, and was remanded until M. 1. Bail was allowed.
