The Minister of Public Works has advised the Takuna Domain Board that a subsidy of £25 on a £1 for £3 basis will be made to the board for improving the domain. The work proposed to be done is the planting of shelter trees and ornamental shrubs round the western and southern boundaries. At a meeting of the Tauhei DrainageBoard the tenders of L. Devcich for £2B and £29 were accepted for contracts involving the improving of Brown's outlet and the widening of Bright well's drain. Mr. J. At its monthly meeting the Morrinsville branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union passed a resolution that a letter be sent to the president of the Morrinsville Chamber of Commerce stating that it was the opinion of the branch that it was in the interests of Morrinsville shopkeepers to remain open all day on Saturday.
