MR. VAILE’S CAMPAIGN
FIRST ADDRESS ON THURSDAY On Thursday evening Mr. H. E. Vaile will take the public platform and open his campaign for the Auckland Mayor alty -at 8 p.m. in the Town Hall concert chamber. After his policy speech op portunlty will be given for question.relative to municipal affairs. This principal address will be foi lowed by a series of meetings In earl suburb when, it is hoped, every electoi will take the opportunity to discus, with the candidate the many phase: of civic life. Mr. Vaile’s campaign has been ir course of consolidation for the pas' two weeks, and committees have been formed in each district. Mr. Vaile has attended each meeting and has mad< a feature of discussing his policy with his supporters, receiving suggestion: and answering questions. Every house in the city has beer systematically canvassed, with encour aging results, professions of suppor coming forward in large numbers.
