Auckland Airman to Start Out Soon
BRITAIN TO DOMINION MR. .MASE TESTS PLANE (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (United Servrce) Reed. 10.25 a.m. LONDON, Monday. The Auckland airman, Mr. K. F. Mase, has completed test flights with his Simmonds-Spartan plane, in which he proposes to fly to Australia and New Zealand. He will fly the machine to the Lympne airdrome on April 19, where he will await favourable weather before the start. He hopes to leave two or three days after that date. Mr. Mase will carry a spare propeller. He will change the spark plugs daily. The route embraces the following stopping-places: Rome. Rangoon. Malta. Victoria Point. Benghazi. Batavia. Cairo. Sourabaya. Bagdad. Bima. Basra. Darwin. Bushire. Sydney. Karachi. Melbourne. Allahabad. Hobart. Calcutta. Christchurch.
