Conditions were much better for this morning’s work in consequence of the track drying, the times recorded being faster than on Saturday. Huikai and Te A wall a were first out, but were not extended. Blackpool ran the first three of six in 38$ and afterwards was eased off. Silver Paper, never off the bit, ran once round in 1.44, the last six in 1.20$ and the final four in 535. Goodwill, alone, ran a mile and aquarter in 2.16, and Tom Byrne ran five in 1.6. Koyal Elm finished in front of Joskin over five in 1.81, and Comical, looking well, did once round on the grass in 1.531. After breakfast. Queen’s Choice, Dimmer and Kahu Ariki finished as named at the end of five in 1.55. Admiral Brake easily defeated Imperial Fame and Adept over five in 1.5. Best of the Morning High Court finished a length ahead of White Fang and Jeanette over a round in 1.414, the best time of the morning on the grass. My Own soundly thrashed Bernera over four in 54, and Irish Court held a decided advantage over Tanagra at the end of six in 1.221. Over the same distance Charmaline and Epistle, finishing abreast, took 1.20. Good Sport finished two lengths ahead of Moa Bird at the end of five in 1.6, and Merry Mint and Curtsey ran the last four of a working gallop in 531. The jumpers, Pale Star, Gordon Swift, set out to jump six hurdles, but the latter baulked at the first and fell at the third, giving a wretched display when remounted. Pale Star, jumping carefully, ran the last once round in 1.52. Abisogne and Ballyfarnon gave a good display over once round in 1.45. Highwayman and Crishna gave the best display over a round seen here for some time, in the good time of 1.40. NELSON REHANDICAPS Press Association NELSON, To-day.
