LABOURER’S THEFT
On a charge of stealing £1 7s 6d from Alexander John Hadfield, a farmer, at WaiwerQj on January 20, William \ emce Aitken, aged 32, a labourer, was convicted and discharged in the Folice Court this morning. The c\*clence showed that the. monev had been repaid to the farmer. Although a detective in evidence said that Aitken had told him that he wanted to get Hadfield in court because he wanted to ’ have a go at him '' accused had nothing to say during th\* hearing of the case.
