NARROW NECK CAMP
“CASUALS” COME HOME The “casual” camp of the First Battalion, Auckland -Regiment, concluded at Narrow Neck this morning and 150 trainees came home after their annual consolidated training. A good standard of efficiency was attained, the trainees being those who were unable to attend the annual battalion camp in February. Captain J. G. C. Wales, M.C., N.Z.S.C., acted as commanding officer and adjutant, and Regimental Ser-geant-Major T. Cronin was camp sergeant-major. Following are the results of the sports held at Narrow Neck beach yesterday: 440 Yards.—Sergeant R. H. Browne, 1; Sergeant R. B. Moorhouse, 2; Sergeant J. P. Farrell, 3; Private W. H. Davies, 4. - 100 Yards. —Sergeant R. B. Moorhouse, 1; Corporal R. Kissling, 2; Sergeant R. H. Browne, 3. Fireman’s Lift.—MacCallum and Corporal R. Kissling, 1; Sergeant Robertson and F. Fussell, 2; Coath and Rose. 3. Long Jump.—Sergeant Moorhouse. 1; Sergeant Robertson, 2; Sergeant R. H. Browne, 3. Obstacle Race.—Corporal R. Kissling, 1; Private Marshall, 2; Private D. MacCallum, 3. Pig-a-Back Race.—Melrose and Elliott. 1; McCarthy and Lee, 2; Woodlock and Mason, 3. Officers’ Race.—Lieutenant J. T. Hill, 1; Captain J. G. C. Wales, 2; R.S.M. T. Cronin, 3. _ . .
