Clerk. gOROUGH OF DEVONPORT BY-LAW NO. 5, 1929 Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Devonport Borough Council held on April 3, ]y29, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at a Meeting of the Council to be held on WEDNESDAY, MAY 8, 1929, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Marine Square, Devonport:— RESOLUTION That the Devonport Borough Council make the following by-law in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in “The Municipal Corporations Apt, 1920,” and its amendments, together with all and every other powers in that behalf contained in any other Acts enabling the said Council in that behalf. The Devonport Borough Council doth hereby by way of Special Order make the following by-law;— This By-law shall be read with and as extending and amending By-law No. 1 made on March 33, 1926. The purport of the By-law is to revoke Section 223 Subsection (5) of By-law No. 1, 1926, and enact a new subsection governing the granting of licences to keep poultry, giving the Council power to impose such conditions and restrictions as it may think proper, and power to cancel a licence if conditions are not complied with or if the keeping of the poultry is in the opinion of the Council likely to become a nuisance.
