CLUBS’ ANNUAL MEETINGS The following reports summariv proceedings at the annual meetin. - . League Rugby Clubs held last night:~ DEVONPORT CLUB The annual report of the Devonpor* Club showed that the senior team had won the club championship, and th» first juniors their grade championship for the third year in succession.. Wii a membership of 130, it had been possible to field eight teams, and a number of players had secured representative honours, including L. Scott, in the New Zealand team. A medal for most improved player in the B grade, donated by Mr. Browne was awarded A. Young. The balance-sheet showed an income of £169, of which £25 was carried forward. The club socials had shown a declining revenue, but the ladies’ committee of the club came in for warm praise for its fund-raising efforts. The secretary-treasurer, Mr. R. Dcble. who has had 10 years* active service filling nearly every club office, declined renomination. He was congratulated on bis splendid record of service to the club, and his resignation was accepted with regret. This year’s officers are:—Patron, Mr. E. Aldridge: vice-patrons, Messrs, h! Ryder. W. C. Coldicutt; president. Mr! W. Swinnerton (re-elected); vice-presi-dents. same as last year, with the addition of Mr. W. Frater. Mr. R. Wheeler and Mr. J. Cobb; secretary-treasurer, position not filled pending a reply to an invitation to Mr. R. Emirali, a former secretary, to take over the office, club captain, Mr. F. Bolger; coach, Mr. H. Douglas; representative. A.R.L.. Mr. E. V. Fox; Junior Management Committee, Mr. J. O'Brien; auditor, Mr. J. Ford; committee (eight), Messrs. G. Emirali, P. Morgan. L. Morgan. L O’Leary, Bennett, F. Sadgrove, J. Gerrard, P. Jones. The possibility that L. Scott would not be playing for Devonport League this year was mentioned at the meeting. ~ Scott is away from the city a good deal. Mr. F. V. Fox was elected a life member in recognition of his many years’ service to the club as player, selector and club official.

PONSONBY CLUB Mr. Nelson Culpan presided oyer a large attendance in the Leys Institute. According to the annual report, tho last season had been most successful in every respect, while the club was in a good financial position. Although none of the Ponsonby' teams had managed to clinch championship honour?, the club had been runners-up in the first three grades. It was anticipated that the coming season would open toward the end of April and the club expected to have a team for every grade. The following members of the Auckland Rugby League were present at the meeting:—Mr. George Rhodes (chairman), Mr. E. J. Phelan, Mr. Ivan Culpan and Mr. F. Ellis. In a short address. Mr. Rhodes outlined the prospects for the coming season. Election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr. P. Sanford; president, Mr. N. Culpan; secretary, Mr. R. Short; treasurer, Mr. E. C. McEwan; committee, Mr. L. Hutt. sen., Mr. A H. McKeown, Air. W. Winters, Mr. J. Avery, Air. T. Boswell. Mr J. Taylor, and Air. A. Black.

REMUERA CLUB At the annual meeting of the Kemuera League Football Club, held at Mr. White’s residence, Clonbern Road. Remuera, Air. A. Beeston presided over an attendance of 35 members. The balance- sheet and annual report was very satisfactory, the club having a credit balance of £l7. Officers were elected as followPatron, Mr. Lewis; president. Dr. Pezaro: secretary, G. AlcConnei . treasurer, J. Alarr: delegate. J. Me. AStanley; club captain, D. Ross; auditors, L. Dickinson. R. Aliller. all reelected; Alanagement Committee, kJenkins, R. Millar, Looker, Thomson, Davenport, Walker, W. Ross. Mound, selectors for first match, R. Jenkins. D. Ross, W. Ross. Fifteen new members were on the club’s playing books, and strox* teams will be entered in variou grades.
