LEAGUE FOOTBALL
NEWTON RANGERS CLUB The annual meeting of Newton Rangers’ Football Club was held on Monday night, when there was a large attendance of members. Among those present were Messrs. G. Rhodes, chairman, I. Culpan, secrelar>*. F. Ellis, treasurer, of the Auckland League Executive, and also Mr. £• Phelan, of the New Zealand Council. The presentation of the balancesheet showed a fair credit on the year’s working, which was an exceptionally heavy one financially. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. W. Monteith; vice-patron, •Mr. F. Ellis: president. Mr. J. Dee; vice-presidents, same as last year; treasurer, Mr. P. Henry; secretary, Mr. G* Paton:* auditor, Mr. L. Williams; committee, Messrs. H. Woods, W. Raddley, J. Hammond, A. McLeod, G. Stone. The first practice is to be held on Good Friday.
