Political circles in France have been disturbed by reports from Washington expressing the opinion that the Experts’ Committee on Reparation is not concerned with the question of the reparation loan, which is a matter for Uie more or less distant future. The progressive commercialisation of the German debt has been one of Uie principal advantages France expected to derive from the Inquiry. It is felt in many quarters that a situation will not otherwise be created which, according to M. Poincare, will perhaps permit France to contemplate the inter-Allied debts from a new an \U along the commercialisation of tlie German debt has been regarded as providing a guarantee to Justify France considering the evacuation or the Rhineland.
