Simmington, of North Queensland, arrived in New Zealand from Sydney by the Ulimaroa yesterday. Mr. T. Glensoi*. of Johannesburg, arrived by the Ulimaroa yesterday from Sydney to investigate the fruit-grow-ing industry in New Zealand. Mr. J. Y. Cameron, who for the last four and a-half years has been postmaster at Tauranga, has been transferred as postmaster to Morrinsville. Mr. H. T. Ferrar, of Wellington, is the giies: of Professor and Mrs. J. A. Bartrum during the meeting of the New Zealand Institute Science Congress. Mr. J. Holmes, postmaster at Waipukurau, has been appointed postmaster at Te Awamutu, in succession to Mr. A. A. Chittenden, retired. Mr. Holmes will take up his new duties toward the end of February.
