Neighbours Rush to Women’s Screams

HUSBAND ARRESTED HAD BEEN IN ILL-HEALTH (From Our Oxen Correspondent) WAIHI, To-day. Attracted by screams, neighbours rushed to the home of Ralph Allison, and found Mrs. Allison in the garden, suffering from wounds in her head, as if she had been severely battered. Her husband was held until the arrival of the police, when he was taken in charge. The woman said she had been attacked in her bedroom, and had rushed into the garden while her attacker came through the window. Mrs. Allison was removed to the Waihi Hospital suffering from serious superficial wounds, although she is not in a dangerous condition. > Allison will be charged before justices of the peace this afternoon, when the police will probably ask for a remand for his medical examination. He is aged 46 and has been in ill-health for some time.
