“TRIP-BEARER” TICKETS
CONVENIENCE FOR TRAVELLERS According to figures supplied, by tfcRailway Department, the system of issuing “trip-bearer” tickets has become so popular that over 5,000 tickets have to be issued every month. The system is one of the many innovations by which the department ha< tried to assist the convenience of travellers. The tickets are designed to meet the needs of intermittent passengers travelling between tiny two specified stations. They can be had available for either 3 2 or 50 trips, and thr cost is 2s 6d in the £, or 4s in the £, respectively, less than the usual fare. A great advantage about the ticket' is that they may _>e transferred and that there is no restriction on the period of availability.
