Mr. John Ball, editor-announcer at »YA Wellington, is visiting Auckland. professor V. A. Bailey is a passenger on the Maunganui, from Sydney to Auckland. Mr and Mrs. T. H. Lowry are pas-, sengers for Auckland by the Maunganui from Sydney. Mr. L. H. King, shipping manager for *p’ Nathan and Co., arrived from Wellington this morning on the Limited. Mr. T. Vallois, Auckland manager for Cinema Art Films. returned to Auckland this morning from a visit to Wellington. Mr. H. B. Newman and Mr. C. E. Robertson were among the passengers who arrived from Wellington this jnorning on th© Limited. Mr. A. W. Smith, of Christchurch, has been appointed to the position iof supervising grader to the New Zealand Wheatgrowers’ Co-operative Association. Mr. J- A. Warnock, of Auckland, w ho was badly hurt some months ago in an accident ist Niagara Falls, is now on his way back from the United States. He will arrive in Auckland by the Aorangi on Sunday. Mr. John Coyle, for several years secretary of the Wellington Hospital Board, and now secretary of the Newcastle Hospital Board, New South Wales, is paying a three weeks’ holiday visit to Wellington. Mr. James Findlas', New Zealand and Australian representative for the Shaw, tfavill and Albion Shipping Company, and Mrs. Findlay arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. They will join the Tamaroa at Auckland. Mr. A. F. Kaufmann, general secretary of the Palmerston North Y.M.C.A., has been advised that he has been awarded the Fellowship diploma of Ulie Philosophical Society of England. His thesis, “Plato and His Philosophy,” was very favourably reported upon by the examiners. The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates was a visitor to Largaville during the week.
