WANDERING CHILD FOUND DEAD IN BUSH
Reed. 10.14 a.m. PERTH, To-day. Joyce Cooper, aged four, who wandered away on Christmas Eve, was found dead by a constable and a tracker at the foot of the Stirling Ranges, four miles away. Twenty-one trackers, 14 mounted police, and 100 men scoured the bush all night and on Christmas Day. The country is very rugged. The child is believed to have died on Wednesday.
